Mobility Legal Solutions Law Corporation

We provide a truly common sense approach to legal fees for residents of South Vancouver Island.

Most law firms operate on a retainer based fee structure which requires a new client to produce a cheque for thousands of dollars prior to the commencement of any legal work.

Then, the lawyers “work off” the retainer, usually at an hourly rate that might leave many clients unsure about how much the legal services really cost, until after the work has already been completed.

Clients tell us that this approach produces anxiety for them.

Here at Mobility Legal we provide many of the most common and simple legal services at a flat rate or reasonable hourly rate.

This means no surprise bills. Just transparent, pay as you go pricing.

Our clients tell us this approach is a tremendous relief to those who have felt that seeking and obtaining legal help has been intimidating and inaccessible.

Fee structure:

To keep our costs down we accept cash, cheque and e-transfer. It’s that simple.  And you receive a bill before you pay.

Below, please find some of our most popular services and the fees associated with them.

  • Arbitration

Why use private arbitration?

Binding arbitration of disputes using a private, confidential neutral arbitrator, keeps highly private matters outside of a public courtroom with the added advantage of picking your own judge.

Flexible processes – custom built for your schedule and your requirements.

No long waits for court time to find resolution.

Trained and licensed senior lawyer arbitrators, able to provide efficient and effective resolution to disputes outside of the court process.

Parent Coordination

  • Parent coordination is a combination of mediation and arbitration services specifically for resolving parental conflicts. Parent coordination services are utilized during custody, visitation and other family law matters that pertain to the health and wellbeing of children involved in a separation, divorce or other matter where there’s a high degree of conflict between both parents. The intention of parent coordination, mediation and arbitration is to keep the family out of court and come to a fair,  legally appropriate and binding decision.

Our parent coordination services are designed as a short term solution for parents who are unable to agree on parenting issues and scheduling. Often, tensions are running high and the situation is considered to be high conflict.

The objective of parent coordination services is to mediate between the conflicted parties, teach and educate the parents along the way to improve their own communication skills and to help make decisions in the best interests of the children. Sometimes that means tough messaging for both parents.

Unlike some parent coordinators, we also offer unbundled parent coordination services.  If parents just need a neutral person to discuss a one time issue and break a tie, we can do that – with written reasons.  We service the smallest issue to full serve parent coordination making determinations on a host of parenting issues on day to day disputes.

Unlike court litigation which often includes many delays, parent coordination is an efficient and affordable way to resolve disputes.  We do not change court orders as parenting coordinators, but we can help implement them.
